Treatment in the scope of ophthalmology involves complex diagnostics and treatment of eye diseases, such as cataract, glaucoma, diseases of cornea, retina, vitreous body or macular degeneration. Operations of cataract are conducted with the use of a small cut, ensuring high safety for the patient and quick recovery after operation.

The Ward has got experience in anti-glaucoma operations (trabeculectomy, placement of drainage implants and micro-implants and sclerectomy).

As one of just a few ophthalmological wards in Poland and one of the three wards in the Lower Silesian region, we perform cornea transplants.
We treat age-related macular degeneration with the use of intravitreal anti-VEGF injections. We use the same treatment in case of retinal vessels clots and diabetic retinopathy.
Doctors from the ophthalmological ward are also highly experienced in eyelid operations.

Treatment in the scope of neuro-surgery: The Neuro-Surgery Wards has been participating in the international record of spine operations – Spine Tango. We perform operations with the use of neuro-navigation. We treat craniocerebral traumas, malignant tumours of the central nervous system, benign tumours, primary and metastatic tumours of the brain, lumbar and cervical discs disease with implantation of disc prostheses.

Treatment in the scope of general and vascular surgery: we treat all types of hernia at the general surgery unit, as well ascholecystolithiasis, diseases of pancreas and thyroid gland, diseases of small and large intestines, oncological diseases of the digestive tract, haemorrhoids and at the vascular surgery unit it treats fistulas for dialysis therapy, varicose vein diseases, chronic venous insufficiency, artery diseases: acute and chronic ischaemia of upper and lower limbs, aneurism of aorta and other arteries, narrowings of carotid arteries. Specialist doctors perform operations with the use of classical and less invasive methods – with the use of modern video-surgery techniques, mechanical suture techniques. We specialise in bariatric operations, in surgical treatment of obesity. For many years we have been providing assistance for patients with, for example, morbid obesity, which requires multi-disciplinary treatment. In the scope of bariatric treatment we offer the following: insertion of intragastric balloons, regulated stomach bands or gastric sleeve resection (sleeve gastrectomy).

We perform non-invasive ultrasonographic test of veins, with the so-called mappings of venous pathologies and qualify patients for treatment. In the scope of complex treatment, we perform less invasive sclerotherapeutic operations – closure of superficial veins through injections of a foam or liquid to their light. The treatment is complemented by the use of compression – specialist stockings with dedicated pressure. Moreover, complex treatment of vein diseases include modern methods of procedure: local excision of lesions with the use of miniphlebectomy, classical methods and modern less invasive methods: thermal ablation with the use of 1470 nm laser, mechanical and chemical ablation – Clari-Vein method and cyano-acrylate glue method – Venaseal method. During the treatment we combine various methods in order to achieve the best clinical effect.

Treatment in the scope of otolaryngology: plastic operations of nasal septum, operations of external nose deformations, Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery (FESS), excision of nasal polyps, operations of soft palate in case of sleep disorders in the form of snoring and apnea, micro-surgical operations of the larynx, operations of obstructed and narrowed lacrimal tract, excision of tonsils.

Treatment in the scope of traumatic and orthopaedic surgery: we offer operations with the use the most modern operation techniques, enabling to perform operations in patients with osteoporosis-related pathological fractures or oncological lesions. We also operate patients with pelvis fractures. We also perform complementary orthopaedic operations, such as corrective osteotomy, replacement of joints with prostheses, reconstruction of feet defects, carpal tunnel syndromes etc. In case of hip joint replacement, our ward – as one of the first wards in Poland and still one of just a few – holds a very modern and technologically advanced endoprosthesis stem which saves bone structures – Mini Hip.

We have been constantly improving arthroscopic procedures. We perform less invasive reconstructive (stitching) operations of joint capsule, excision of joint capsule, complementation of joint cartillage, reconstruction of ligaments.

Undoubtedly, the asset of our Hospital is the full scope of treatment we offer for our patients – including the Hospital Emergency Ward (SOR) and a LPR helicopter pad. It is not insignificant to note that it is the first helicopter pad in Poland erected at such height – 459 metres above sea level, at the height of 27.5 m. The landing is directly connected with the Hospital Emergency Ward and Operation Theatre and thanks to its state-of-art navigation system and lighting system it operates 24 hours a day.
As the located within the area of intensive tourism, we also take care of dialysed patients, who can rest in Polanica – Zdrój or within the territory of the Kłodzko Basin and have dialyses in our Hospital. Moreover, we offer accommodation in guest rooms for our guests and their companions, which are located within the complex.
